I have an explanation for that but first I want to give a little background. My husband, who is in the US ARMY, was supposed to deploy to Afghanistan this fall. So, for the remainder of the month of June and part of July we've been preparing. I packed up half of my clothes (mostly winter clothes), packed up clothes that I don't want to donate to Good Will, my makeup, my shoes, iMac, my husband's Buell motorcycle, my husband's car, my jewelry, EVERYTHING that I wouldn't need for the next month or so. Then we sat down and talked about emergency situations while taking notes. Then it took a bit to install a hitch onto our truck. Actually, it was REALLY stressful because the hitch that my husband ordered wouldn't entirely fit under our truck. We were outside basically all day in the Savannah heat trying to install a damn hitch ourselves. Eventually, we gave up and ordered a Uhaul hitch to be installed. A day before our LEAVE (2 weeks vacation) began, we had to go to Uhaul to pick up our trailer to trail my husband's vehicle. My husband confirmed with the lady that he would be picking up the trailer today before closing time... We got there and let me tell you, a ghetto spot. Hardly a noticeable store, no one would answer the door or the telephone. Obviously there are some Uhaul vehicles parked at the front but NO trailer. We were SO upset. Called her a few times but she wouldn't pick up her phone. Her van was parked out front (assuming since there weren't any other vehicles there) then we had to call Customer Service. While on the phone with Uhaul, they gave us 3 different phone numbers. Each time we called, they gave us another number to call. Eventually, we got through and we found another Uhaul place CLOSER to our apartment to pick up an available trailer. Good grief! We were supposed to leave to Ohio that day but we couldn't. Due to all the crap we had to prepare for, we decided to take a break and leave in the early AM.
Here is my Photo Diary of our trip to Ohio and while in Ohio:

I have more photo's that I'll post! My younger sister and my 'brother' were in town so my husband and I chauffeured them around.
Anyway, the last day of my sister and 'brother' trip to Savannah- my husband called me while he was leaving work. He told me that his 1st Sgt and another (forgot who) called him with a choice. Either my husband deploys to Afghanistan and loses his orders to Hawaii. OR he does not deploy and we move to Hawaii by January 2013. I thought for a good 10 seconds, panic because I knew he wanted to deploy... But I told him that I would rather take Hawaii than lose the opportunity. If we were to choose him to deploy, what kind of choices would we have gotten? Didn't want to take the risk of shitty PCS choices so I said take Hawaii.
