Good-bye Berenstain Bears!

I just found out that the Co-Owner of the Berenstain Bears passed away this week. THIS is my childhood right here. I grew up reading these books at my Elementary School library. I have fond memories flipping through these books and learning English (I was born in the USA but Korean was my first language). Luckily, their son is still illustrating. Please pray for the family and may Jan rest in peace. Thank you for all that you've done. Your commitment to these illustrations inspired many young children and for me, I never felt alone. Thank you and God Bless.

Ordinary

My writing mojo wore off after my first blog post. Maybe if I drank some alcohol I'd have a lot more to talk about, haha. It's probably because I'm being distracted by Extra (TV) about Grammys and my Proximo whining at me. Huskies get bored so easily, they always need entertainment and exercise. I'll have to entertain him after this blog post.

I guess I'll continue on with my story. Just for a little while... Until I start posting food pictures or make-up. I'm very disorganized and random. I remember the night before I drove out of Ohio. I had a long time friend drive to Columbus from Akron (2 hour drive) just to road trip down to Georgia with me (and she helped me move my stuff in). It was September 2010. We had hot pot/shabu shabu for dinner with a group of my friends. I wasn't feeling entirely sad. I was trying really hard to keep my mind open to adventure. Also, at the same time I knew that it wouldn't hit me until I was gone for awhile. Anyway, I felt happy that my friends were around. Until we started with the good-bye's, my best friend started to choke up as we hugged. Saying good-bye felt like a dream, as if it's not really happening. As if I'm really not going away for a long time... Denial. I know. Driving almost 12 hours through the night down to Georgia was a struggle for me and my Akron friend. We drove my car, a Toyota RAV4 2003 (I believe). We were sore as heck and extremely sleep deprived. However, once we stepped out of the car... Humidity struck and we woke up from our sleepiness. We went swimming, walked around the beach, roamed around my new home... Savannah, Georgia.
